MARCO has shown consistent growth since its founding. Published by club member Gary Kline, WC8W, you are welcome to view them by clicking on the selected issue. On-the-air network operation is considered an integral part of MARCO activity, and is conducted for the purpose of discussing and exchanging medical and technical information, and, wherever possible, to be of public service by assisting medical emergencies and other priority traffic. This is the only such regular section newsletter contest among the 71 sections nationally in the ARRL. Over the years this general goal has been expanded to encourage MARCO members to participate in appropriate ways in volunteer programs offering medical assistance or counsel. The Ohio Ham Radio Newsletter Contest, originated in , is administered by the Public Information Coordinator, is not only conducted to reward excellence in our newsletters but to reward growth and improvement among all participants. The club missed first place by only a single point.

It is driven by a counter dial Rear of amplifier showing blower and coaxial output connector. The filament transformer and dial mechanism are placed in the area between enclosure and panel. Connect a swr indicator at the output and apply a small amount of rf drive. The cathode input circuit is in center compartment. Copper tubes are standard water pipe. The resulting high-impedance transmission line would make a quarter-wave plate tank circuit physically short and difficult to handle. Two of these amplifiers are of interest to the serious vhf operator.

The blocking capacitors are rated for rf service, and inexpensive tv-type capacitors are not recommended for this amplifier. The other amplifier covers the range from to Mhz, and is well suited for use on the amateur Mhz band; it will be described later. Assembly is made of aluminum panels. Copper tubes are standard water pipe. C1 pF Centralab L1 5 turns no.
Description: One inductor and the capacitor are variable so the network is able to cover a wide range of impedance transformations. Copper tubes are standard water pipe. The cathode-heater rf choke is near the top edge of the enclosure. Two of these amplifiers are of interest to the serious vhf operator.
